<p>In this study, the egg-laying behavior and morphological structure of the eggs of the aquatic whirligig beetle <i>Aulonogyrus concinnus</i> (Coleoptera: Gyrinidae) were described using stereomicroscopy, light microscopy, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). In addition, the chorion layering was resolved by staining chorion sections. Samples were collected from Tomarza district of Kayseri province (Türkiye) and left to lay eggs. Although the eggs resemble those of related genera, they are quite different in terms of chorionic structure and reticulation and are separated from other Gyrinidae species. This facilitates linking eggs to adult specimens. Therefore, the clear determination of the egg stage that will create the new organism is important in terms of ecology and taxonomy and will also contribute significantly to biodiversity.</p>
