<p>The “Punta Morada de la Papa” (PMP) disease is a phytoplasma complex that causes damage in potatoes (<i>Solanum tuberosum</i>), and <i>Bactericera cockerelli</i> is the main insect pest responsible for spreading this disease. The effects of the insecticide acetamiprid, in combination with pyriproxyfen or emamectin benzoate, on the eggs, nymphs, and adults of <i>B. cockerelli</i> were assessed for different developmental stages. Overall, the results show that the combined insecticides reduced the number of eggs on potato plants. Additionally, the number of nymphs and adults decreased significantly after exposure to the combined insecticides. Results suggest that acetamiprid, when used with pyriproxyfen or emamectin benzoate, is highly effective against <i>B. cockerelli</i> populations. Therefore, it can be used to control this insect in areas with infestations in potato crops at different stages of PMP disease progression.</p>
