<p>Scarabaeid beetles (Scarabaeidae: Coleoptera) play a vital role in ecosystems as decomposers, pollinators, and agricultural pests. Their population dynamics are influenced by abiotic factors such as temperature, humidity, and rainfall. This study assesses species diversity, relative abundance, and the influence of environmental conditions on Scarabaeid beetles trapped using black light traps in the <i>terai</i> region of Uttarakhand. Field experiments were conducted at the Crop Research Centre, Pantnagar, during 2019 and 2020, with beetles collected and identified to determine species composition and seasonal variation. A comprehensive inventory identified 24 distinct species encompassing 12 genera and four subfamilies, with a notable predominance in the subfamily Dynastinae, particularly exemplified by <i>Heteronychus lioderes</i>. The highest beetle activity was recorded in June, correlating positively with temperature and negatively with relative humidity and rainfall. Regression analysis showed significant influence of abiotic factors on beetle emergence, with temperature being the most critical determinant. These findings enhance understanding of Scarabaeid beetle ecology and provide insights for biodiversity conservation and integrated pest management in agricultural ecosystems.</p>
