<p>A study was done during two seasons <i>Rabi</i> 2022-23 and 2023-24 on farm of LPU, Jalandhar (Punjab) on,” Yield, Quality and Uptake of Wheat (<i>Triticum aestivum</i> L.) influenced by variable Planting Techniques and N Levels.” The experiment was set out in Split plot design (where one factor applied to main plots and another factor applied to smaller plots) with 3 planting techniques viz. two row per bed, bidirectional sowing, line or flat sowing in main plots and 5 nitrogen level treatments viz. 0, 40, 80, 120 and 160&#xa0;kg N/ha. The findings concluded that among main plots, crucially more leaf area index, chlorophyll index, protein content (7.61 and 9.46%) and nitrogen content by grains (1.21 and 1.51%) and straw (0.63 and 0.66%) was obtained in 2 rows/ bed than bidirectional method and flat/line technique. Also increased nitrogen uptake by grains and straw i.e. significantly higher (39.98, 33.97% and 65.35, 62.42%) in two rows/bed and (15.40, 12.85% and 24.53, 21.46%) in cross sowing during both years than flat sowing techniques during both years. The grain and straw yield was statistically at par in two rows/bed and cross sowing than flat sowing technique among planting patterns. Among nitrogen level treatments chlorophyll index (46.81 and 43.54), protein content (9.79 and 11.61%), nitrogen content (1.32, 1.62 and 0.73, 0.76%) and uptake (85.72, 99.52 and 47.80, 48.96&#xa0;kg/ha) in grains and straw was significantly higher in 160&#xa0;kg/ha nitrogen than 0, 40, 80, 120&#xa0;kg/ha. The grain and straw yield was statistically at par in 160 and 120&#xa0;kg N/ha than 0, 40, 80&#xa0;kg N/ha among N levels.</p>
