<p>Although chemical insecticides are widely used to control the <i>Aedes aegypti</i> vector, their application is often linked to environmental toxicity, bioaccumulation, and the emergence of resistant insect populations. This study aimed to evaluate the scientific development related to the use of natural products against <i>A. aegypti</i>. Boolean operators AND and NOT were applied with various descriptors over the period from 1992 to 2022, using the SCOPUS database. The year 2020 recorded the highest number of publications. The most productive subject area was Medicine. In terms of country co-authorship, the United States ranked highest. Notably, the year 2005 had the leading values in both <i>Average Citations per Article</i> and <i>Average Citations per Year</i>. In the three-field plot, the most cited reference was Abbott, the most influential author was Govindarajan M., and the most frequently used descriptor was <i>A. aegypti</i>. Additionally, <i>A. aegypti</i>, vegetable oil, and plant extracts appeared prominently in the keyword co-occurrence and density analyses. The most productive institution was Chiang Mai University. In conclusion, the use of natural products has increased over time and represented the most widely adopted alternative control strategy from 1992 to 2022, showing promising results in the management of <i>A. aegypti</i>.</p>
