This study reports the occurrence of one such species, <i>Poa nitidespiculata</i>, marking its first recorded presence in the North-West Himalaya. The species was last collected in 1949 from Central Nepal and had been absent from Indian taxonomic literature for decades. After a gap of 75&#xa0;years, it was recollected in 2024.</p>
