Quality assurance in latex products manufacturing: what is needed for further improvement
摘要
The global disposable rubber glove market is experiencing a robust growth, projected at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9.8%, driven by increasing hygiene awareness, growing surgical needs, an ageing population, and rising demand across non-medical sectors such as food and cleanroom applications. Despite this upward trajectory, the industry’s quality assurance (QA) landscape remains largely manual and reactive, heavily reliant on operator experience and often marked by variability and inefficiency. This paper identifies current limitations in QA practices across the glove manufacturing value chain and proposes a set of advanced, technology-enabled control measures—some currently available, others aspirational. By embracing automation, real-time monitoring, and data-driven decision-making, the disposable rubber glove industry can significantly elevate product quality, improve efficiency, and enhance regulatory compliance.
