摘要

In open-pit mining of ore deposits, the drilling and blasting method of extraction has long been used. This method requires a set of machines that are used for mining, loading, and transporting. The main performance indicator of the process is the performance of drilling machines and drilling equipment. Drilling productivity can be achieved through the highest indicators of bit stability, drilling speed, the depth of rock destruction under the bit’s rotational impact, and energy efficiency of the process. Software programs for engineering calculations have been widely used for visual and research purposes, as the drilling process is complex. One such program is the ANSYS software tool, which, in addition to designing, performs the necessary calculations for designing the most effective tools. This paper discusses the ways of designing efficient drill bits using this software. The issues of bits` tension and indicators of rock deformation in the contact zones have been defined and solved. A more advanced type of drill bit has been proposed with the best indicators of drilling speed and stability under bit loads.
