<p>To ensure the accuracy of monitoring results, regular calibration of radioactive aerosol monitors is required. In this paper, a preparation device for radioactive aerosol membrane filter sources was developed based on the sampling system of radioactive aerosol monitors. Using this device, <sup>137</sup>Cs aerosol membrane filter sources with different activities were prepared. The activity values of these membrane filter sources were determined using HPGe γ spectrometer, with the prepared sources exhibiting activity levels ranging from 51.7 to 3259&#xa0;Bq and the uncertainties all below 3.3%. According to the national standard verification regulation of China, the uniformity of these membrane filter sources was within 10%, and the repeatability was within 3%. The method is simple to operate, and the performance of the prepared <sup>137</sup>Cs aerosol membrane filter standard sources meet operational requirements.</p>
