Analysis of Free Vibration and Acoustic Responses of FG-CNTRC Sandwich Plates with Different Piezoelectric Material Lay-Up Layers

Due to the unique characteristics of the FG-CNTRC structure and piezoelectric materials, two types of piezoelectric FG-CNTRC structure are formed by laying the piezoelectric materials in different ways on the FG-CNTRC plate, and their free vibration and acoustic responses are investigated.
MethodsThe dynamic equation of the structure are derived based on the third-order shear deformation theory and Hamilton’s principle. By Navier’s method the vibration frequencies and the structural-acoustic responses of the piezoelectric FG-CNTRC plate with simply supported edges under the concentrated harmonic excitation are obtained.
ResultsThe theoretical results are validated by the finite element simulation. The vibro-acoustic characteristics of two types of piezoelectric FG-CNTRC plate are compared, and the influences of parameter changes on the free vibration and acoustic responses of the structures are discussed.
