摘要

A scientometric analysis of 1,088 documents from 337 sources elucidated global airframe research trends from 2020 to 2024, demonstrating a 3.08% annual growth rate in publications. International collaboration, notably between China and Australia, Germany, and the United Kingdom, was evident in 19.39% of the papers. Research has predominantly focused on advanced materials, structural health monitoring, aerodynamics, and novel designs with emerging trends in artificial intelligence, machine learning, advanced manufacturing, and sustainability. The field is exhibiting increasing interdisciplinarity and integrating aerospace engineering with other disciplines. Bibliometric analysis identifies Aerospace Science and Technology as the most influential journal, and keyword co-occurrence analysis delineates research clusters and themes, with “design” being the most prominent. The research trajectory indicates a shift towards complex, efficient, and environmentally conscious airframe designs incorporating advanced technologies. Future research could explore bio-inspired materials, smart technologies, and airframes for urban air mobility and eVTOL vehicles. This comprehensive scientometric analysis provides insights into the current state and future direction of airframe research, informing future research, funding, and collaboration in the aerospace industry.
