摘要

A 77-year-old patient with a proximal humerus fracture who underwent a reverse shoulder prosthesis and had chronic dislocation was found to have compressed the lung and caused a rib fracture. The patient underwent resection arthroplasty to relieve the compression on the lung. Although instability and dislocation after RSA are not very common, they are complications that can lead to devastating problems. When treatment is delayed after dislocation, standard treatment practices may be inadequate. Therefore, different treatment options like arthrodesis and resection arthroplasty can be considered according to the needs of the patient.
