<p>Analyzing the factors that influence the clinical success of a previously performed endodontic treatment is actually the purpose of this review-type study. At the initial stage of electronic research of published articles using only the word endodontic, there were&#xa0;approximately 59,800 articles, combining the specialty field of dentistry with the keyword “treatment” for further&#xa0;application in the search for articles that would be further used for this study, reducing this figure to almost two&#xa0;times less, to the value of 36,975 articles. The second combination of keywords related to the element discussed as the most frequent cause of clinical in-success of the initial endodontic treatment reached the value of 30 articles included for further analysis in this study. The point of view on the clinical success of endodontic re-treatments is oriented in three directions: how to find new technologies of endodontic canal re-processing, which is presented in about 43% of the articles where the majority, about 30% of them, are oriented about the in vitro analysis of the results of endodontic re-treatments, 7% about the review-type analysis of published articles, and 7% about the in vivo analysis of the application of new technologies to affected individuals. The clinical success and in-success of endodontic treatments lie in canal asepsis where scientific research is also oriented around finding antibacterial or antiseptic canal solutions. A part of this direction in scientific research is also oriented around the latest technology or methodology of applying these solutions inside the canals.</p>
