<p>The impact of cultural (mulching, sowing time, and seed priming) and nutrient management practices (drip fertigation) were investigated on the incidence of <i>Alternaria</i> leaf blight (ALB), and stem rot (SR) in peanut for two consecutive cultural seasons. Sowing time was identified as the most critical factor governing disease development. The study revealed that early sowing substantially suppressed ALB incidence (17.0%), while delayed sowing led to a pronounced increase in disease severity (36.7%). SR incidence was greatest under optimum sowing conditions (1.6%). Mulching consistently increased both ALB (35.9%) and SR (1.7%) incidence, likely due to the creation of a favourable microclimate for pathogen establishment. Seed priming alone did not significantly affect disease incidence; however, its interaction with sowing time and mulching modified disease expression, with late-sown mulched plots recording the highest ALB levels (up to 57.4%). In a separate experiment, the application of water-soluble fertilizers through drip fertigation during summer cultivation did not significantly influence ALB or SR incidence (<i>P</i> &gt; 0.05). Overall, the study highlights sowing time as the primary determinant of disease expression in peanut, with other agronomic practices exerting indirect effects through microclimatic and crop vigor modifications.</p>
