<p>Spent Coffee Grounds (SCGs) represent an abundant and underutilised biomass with great potential as a source of natural dyes for the textile industry. This study investigates the optimisation of the extraction process to maximise dye yield from SCGs. Various extraction parameters, including temperature, extraction time, extraction pH, and solid-liquid ratio, were systematically examined to identify the most effective conditions for dye recovery. The combined effects of these extraction conditions on the total phenolic content (TPC) and colour yield (K/S) were studied using a three-level four-factor Box-Behnken design. The optimum conditions for dye extraction were found to be 11, 75&#xa0;min, 70&#xa0;°C, and 80&#xa0;g/L for extraction pH, extraction time and temperature, and mass of the powder respectively.</p>
