<p>The compound 1,3,4-thiadiazole, which is significant in the domains of medicine, pharmacy, corrosion, and coordinated chemistry, is introduced in this minireview. For many pharmacokinetic compounds, including analgesic drugs, antibacterials, maximum cancer tumors, and anti-inflammatories, 1,3,4-thiadiazole is an essential and simple-to-use substance. Given the chemical and biological importance of 1,3,4-thiadiazole derivatives, it is interesting to know the different synthetic methods to develop them or invent others. This minireview summarizes the definition, properties, synthesis, application, and biological activities of 1,3,4-thiadiazole derivatives. Finally, we highlight the advantages of synthetic methods to accelerate research in this field and promote their widespread practical applications.</p>
