Philosophical Wisdom Meets Psychology: Exploring the Bhagavad Gītā and Psychological Capital Constructs
摘要
This study explores the intersection of philosophy and psychology by analyzing the Bhagavad Gītā through the lens of Psychological Capital (PsyCap), a modern construct encompassing hope, efficacy, resilience, and optimism. Using a dual-methodological approach—combining Ricoeur’s phenomenological hermeneutics with thematic analysis—the findings reveal how the Gītā nurtures these PsyCap components, demonstrating a strong alignment between its spiritual teachings and contemporary psychological frameworks. By comparing the Gītā’s guidance on mental resilience and spiritual growth with modern psychological theories, the research offers fresh perspectives on the contributions of philosophical and spiritual traditions to individual well-being. This comparative approach underscores the relevance of ancient wisdom in addressing contemporary mental health challenges and suggests practical applications of Gītā-based principles in psychological interventions. Additionally, it enriches ongoing interdisciplinary discussions on the intersection of philosophy, psychology, and spirituality, demonstrating the Gītā’s significance as a resource for both theoretical inquiry and practical application.
