Abstract <p>Mental health professionals in conflict and poverty-stricken regions face unique challenges, including exposure to traumatic events and safety threats. Our qualitative pilot study in Niger explored these challenges among 20 Nigerien mental health providers (85% male, aged 20–55) affiliated with international NGOs in Niamey. Using a collective narrative approach with a decolonial lens, we aimed to shift perceptions from victimization to resistance. Participants shared traumatic experiences and survival skills, revealing themes of professional and personal challenges. Despite adversities, they resist through familial traditions and communal support. This study underscores the importance of decolonial dialogues and amplifying marginalized voices in MH research.</p> Clinical Trial Number <p>Not applicable.</p>
