On alpha generalized Kies model and its applications in cancer data sets

Here we consider a generalized mixture model of the well-known Kies distribution studied by Kumar and Dharmaja (Metron 72(1):97–122, 2014) through the name “alpha generalized Kies distribution (AGKD)” and discuss some of its properties and applications. The maximum likelihood estimation of the parameters of the distribution is attempted and fitted to certain real life data sets taken from cancer research studies. Further a simulation study is conducted for examining the asymptotic behaviour of maximum likelihood estimators of the parameters of the AGKD.
