摘要

As lifestyles become increasingly mobile, digital nomadism has emerged and expanded, raising questions about how families sustain stability, a sense of home, and a sense of belonging while on the move. This study examined (1) how digital nomad families conceptualize “home” and (2) how core and balance family leisure contribute to fostering a sense of home and belonging in a mobile lifestyle. Grounded in the Core and Balance Model of Family Leisure Functioning, the study drew on interviews with members of 15 digital nomad families recruited through online communities. Findings showed that families perceived home as a relational, emotional, multi-layered space anchored in togetherness and maintained through portable routines and objects. Core leisure provided a sense of home and “portable stability,” while balance leisure supported adaptation and belonging to new environments. Digital nomad families prioritized stability, while adaptability was embedded in their lifestyle.
