Das ovarielle Überstimulationssyndrom (OHSS)
摘要
Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) is a relatively rare complication that occurs during in vitro fertilization (IVF) following ovulation induction with human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG). The exact pathophysiology that leads to OHSS is still not fully elucidated. It is presumably due to increased vascular permeability in the area of the ovaries and their surrounding vessels. The hCG administered to induce ovulation likely plays a pivotal role, as it activates the ovarian renin–angiotensin system. Young and slim women with hyperandrogenism and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) are particularly at risk. Pathophysiology, preventive measures, and treatment strategies are discussed in the article.
