BioCrypt-DNA: A DNA-inspired biocryptographic framework for secure cloud computing

With its unique functionality, cost-effectiveness, and ease of use, cloud computing (CC) has transformed the modern world. It involves self-service provisioning of computing resources, such as processing and storage, via internet-accessible data centres. New and innovative technologies make it easier and cheaper to utilise computer resources. This paper investigates CC and biocryptography to improve data security. It suggests a new methodology, BioCrypt-DNA-based Cloud Security, that leverages DNA's distinctive features to store and encrypt data in the cloud. The research focuses on the potential of DNA cryptography to address the challenges modern encryption methods face, especially as cyberattacks become more prevalent. The paper demonstrates how DNA encoding, combined with cloud storage, can create a scalable, efficient, and secure solution for preserving sensitive information in the cloud. The proposed framework leverages DNA-inspired symbolic encoding within a fully digital cloud environment, ensuring computational scalability and cost-efficiency without relying on physical DNA synthesis or laboratory infrastructure. Furthermore, this study examines the feasibility, challenges, and implications of DNA-based encryption in real-world cloud environments.
