Power and area efficient hardware architecture of lightweight cryptography for IoT and embedded systems
摘要
This study concentrates on the hardware implementation of the lightweight symmetric cyphers SIMON and PRESENT, specifically on the Spartan-7 Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA), designed for resource-limited setups such as the Internet of Things (IoT). Comprehensive studies of area utilisation and power efficiency were conducted on these cyphers. These concepts demonstrate significant advancements in compactness and power efficiency. Consequently, these techniques are suitable for safe and efficient cryptographic operations in IoT applications.
