摘要

At the Geominero Museum (Spanish Geological and Mining Institute, Spanish National Research Council), important Spanish paleontological collections are preserved and safeguarded, among others. These collections were assembled from provincial geological surveys carried out by the Spanish Geological Map Commission since its establishment in 1849. This work discusses some of the results obtained from the reviews of mollusk and brachiopod collections conducted between 1996 and 2002. Professor Antonio Goy participated directly or indirectly in the reviews carried out in the 20th century, thereby contributing to the updating of taxonomy, correction of systematic or biostratigraphic attribution errors, as well as the geographic origin of the material.
