<p>This study focuses on comparing the numerical efficiency of the fractional Tikhonov regularization for the 2-D non-homogeneous time-fractional inverse diffusion equation with Tikhonov regularization, quasi boundary value method and Fourier truncation. The ill-posedness of the system is discussed, followed by the significant derivation of fractional Tikhonov regularization solution and the convergence estimates using priori and posteriori strategy. Numerical illustrations are supplied for the proposed regularization solution.</p>
