Politische Sozialisation in Krisenzeiten
摘要
For the persistence and functionality of democratic systems, it is crucial that the majority of citizens possess political knowledge and support democratic norms and values. The term political socialization refers to the learning processes through which individuals acquire political knowledge and internalize democratic norms and values. Recently, children and adolescents are increasingly confronted with political upheavals and crises that impact their lives, such as climate change, the COVID-19 pandemic, and international conflicts like the war in Ukraine and the Middle East conflict. The articles in this special issue provide current empirical findings from political socialization research and examine recent developments amidst political and societal challenges.
