First report of Cladosporium subuliforme causing leaf spot on tomato in Mexico
摘要
Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) is a crop of great importance worldwide. In January 2023, highly prevalent leaf spot disease was detected in a greenhouse tomato crop in Guerrero, Mexico. The pathogen was isolated from leaf spot symptoms and identified morphologically and molecularly by analysis of the ITS, Actin, and EF-1α regions as Cladosporium subuliforme. Koch’s postulates were verified and fulfilled. To our knowledge, this is the first report of C. subuliforme causing leaf spot in tomato plants in Mexico and worldwide.
