Körperbilder in politischen Kulturmagazinen – Inszenierungen und Lesepraktiken
摘要
Body Images are important elements of visual political communication, whose incorporated meanings cannot be avoided by their readers. This article uses a corpus of 2.272 images of political culture magazines described by four comprehensive body characteristics, subsequently differentiating eleven types of body images. That is followed by a discussion of semiotic and praxeological consequences of their repeated production of bodies for reading cognition, practices and emotions. Thereby, bodies are defined as complex but unspecified political signs, as material affordances for political reading practices, and as agents of political ideologies.
