<p>The present study reports a current and comprehensive updated checklist of marine brachyuran crabs from Gujarat waters, India. Based on published records and field observations, marine brachyuran crabs in this region comprise 190 species belonging to 107 genera in 32 families, including one new record for the Indian Ocean and 14 new records for Gujarat waters. The family Portunidae has the highest number of species (26), while the families Corystidae, Goneplacidae, Iphiculidae, Oziidae, Pinnotheridae, Plagusiidae, Raninidae, and Xenophthalmidae each have a single species. Newly reported species are discussed in terms of taxonomic remarks, habitat details, and present distribution status.</p>
