<p>This study reports the first occurrence of the turtle barnacle <i>Cylindrolepas sinica</i> Ren, 1980 found attached to a Chinese sea snake, <i>Laticauda semifasciata</i> (Reinwardt, 1837), in Okinawa, Japan. Previously, epibiotic barnacles on sea snakes have been documented primarily for the genus <i>Platylepas</i>, with <i>Cylindrolepas</i> species generally associated with sea turtles. This new host record extends the known range of <i>Cylindrolepas sinica</i> and provides insights into the epibiotic relationships of sea snakes, emphasizing the ecological versatility of <i>C. sinica</i>. The present study discusses morphological features observed in the specimens and highlights the need for further research to understand host specificity and the environmental factors influencing epibiont distribution on marine vertebrates.</p>

摘要
