<p>The present study reports the occurrence of the genus <i>Cestoplan</i> a Lang, 1884 and the species <i>Cestoplana rubrocincta</i> (Grube, 1840) Lang, 1884 for the first time from the intertidal marine ecosystem of India. <i>C. rubrocincta</i> is reported from various marine habitats, such as underneath rock, on bryozoan colonies, within rock caves/crevices, on ascidian colonies across the globe. In present study, it is documented from the westernmost coastline of India, sighted in the rocky intertidal zone of Gujarat from various coastal areas such as Veraval, Mangrol, Dwarka, Shivrajpur, and Okha. The present report of <i>C. rubrocincta</i> demonstrates the expansion of the species distribution range to the coastal regions of western India.</p>

摘要
