<p>This study focuses on monitoring the purification performance of an urban wastewater treatment system in Ain El Aouda, Rabat region, using the low-load activated sludge process. This pilot study represents the first time this process has been evaluated in this specific context. Physico-chemical analyses were conducted on parameters including temperature, pH, TSS, COD, BOD5, total nitrogen (NTK), and total phosphorus (Pt) over 12&#xa0;months from 2021 to 2022. The results showed excellent treatment rates: 93% for BOD5, 90% for TSS, and 91% for COD. The pH values consistently met national standards and WHO guidelines (6.5–8.5). Nitrogen and phosphorus removal showed significant improvement, with NTK achieving 82% elimination. Overall, the activated sludge process proved effective and satisfactory, making the treated water safe for environmental release and suitable for irrigating green spaces.</p>
