<p>The treatment of wastewater containing antibiotics is currently a major concern due to the widespread use of antibiotics. Antibiotic-resistant genes (ARGs) and antibiotic-resistant bacteria (ARBs) multiply and are released into the aquatic environment after wastewater containing antibiotics passes through conventional wastewater treatment plants, posing a threat to human health. The treatment effect of constructed wetlands (CWs) on antibiotics is relatively good and the level of antibiotic resistance genes is greatly reduced after treatment, it has low construction and maintenance costs and high performance. This paper reviews the harm caused by the spread of antibiotic resistance genes in the aquatic environment and explores the solution of treating antibiotic resistance genes in CW.</p>
