<p>The use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) in academic sectors has become increasingly popular. Many educational institutions are now looking to incorporate UAV into their academic programs by offering specific courses and training programs. However, integrating this technology is not an easy task as it requires well-designed and structured teaching materials that are continuously updated to keep up with its rapid advancements and capabilities. Therefore, this paper aims to provide comprehensive guidance on how to effectively integrate UAV technology into educational sectors. It presents a&#xa0;teaching concept for using UAV in the “surveying and topographic mapping” sector, which is one of the most academic sectors that utilize UAV technology and has seen significant growth over time. The teaching concept was designed based on important teaching guidelines defined at the Technical University of Braunschweig in Germany. It has been structured into theory and practical parts, offering different topics that are strongly interconnected and suitable for students who have no prior knowledge or specific skills with this technology.</p>
