<p>The emission of carbon dioxide (CO<sub>2</sub>) by industries, such as buildings and concrete, poses a substantial risk to human health and significantly affects the natural environment. The United Nations (UN) has expressed a persistent need to adopt environmentally friendly practices and push for green concrete and buildings by 2050. To reduce or eliminate carbon pollution, researchers worldwide are investigating the best renewable replacement materials for cement and concrete. Despite this, the exploration of zero-carbon concrete is still in its preliminary phases, although fascinating and potentially sustainable concrete solutions have been developed. Blended concrete is a promising solution that can provide sustainable construction practices using industrial waste, and help reduce carbon emissions. This paper provides a review of quaternary-blended self-compacting concrete that integrates various mineral admixtures and their properties. The main contribution of this study is to provide insights into the current progress in the field of blended concrete, particularly quaternary blended concretes.</p>
