Representation of stress strain curve for compression behavior of concrete using trigonometric function model
摘要
The current study suggests a new simple mathematical model using trigonometric function (sine function) to obtain the complete stress–strain diagram for normal and high-strength unconfined concrete. The cylinder compressive strength of concrete will be the only experimental value needed for obtaining the stress–strain diagram. The experimental results of 114 samples selected from previously published studies were used for estimating the required mathematical model and verifying the adequacy of the proposed model. The proposed model showed high efficiency in representing the stress–strain curve also high accuracy in representing the descending part of the curve comparable to the previously suggested model.
