摘要

By using ductile iron as the experimental material, the effects of alloying element Nb (0, 0.1 wt%, 0.2 wt% and 0.3 wt%, respectively) on graphite morphology, matrix structure, mechanical properties and wear resistance were analyzed. The results show that the addition of Nb in ductile iron reduces the nodularity, average diameter and number density of graphite particles, promotes the formation of pearlite in the matrix and reduces its lamellar spacing, and precipitates NbC particles in graphite, ferrite and pearlite simultaneously. The tensile strength, hardness and wear resistance of ductile iron increase with the addition of Nb. The Brinell hardness is 195HB and the tensile strength is 515MPa for the ductile iron with 0.3 wt% Nb addition, which are 20.4% and 22.9% higher than that of Nb-free ductile iron. The wear volume of 0.2Nb ductile iron is 4.12 × 10−2 mm3, approximately 51% lower than that of Nb-free ductile iron.
