<p>This research is a qualitative document analysis study that examines the movie “Teachers’ Lounge” (Das Lehrerzimmer) in terms of ethical principles for teachers and ethical dilemma. This 2023 movie deals with the ethical dilemma faced by a teacher and the violations of ethical principles by teachers. The reason why the movie is worth analyzing in terms of ethics for educators is that it contains examples of appropriate and inappropriate conduct for the ethical principles for teachers. In the content of the movie, it comes to the fore that teachers working in the school where zero-tolerance policy is implemented violate the principles of “be considerate”, “avoiding mistreatment and protecting dignity” and “prioritize student development or safety”. The study revealed that the movie contains scenes showing the critical incident, competing forces, individual, choice and implication sub-dimensions of an ethical decision-making model that provides a framework for teachers to reason in ethical dilemmas.</p>
