<p>In this work, consideration is given to a Carnot heat engine working at maximum power output and immersed into a gravitational thermal gradient field. The engine has all the features than that from a classical Carnot engine, but with one important exception, viz, the heat engine is not at rest but rather travelling itself between the heat source and sink. An expression for the maximum power output of a travelling Carnot heat engine was derived.</p>

摘要
