Power Quality Control in PV Systems with DSTATCOM: Methods and Performance Evaluation
摘要
Two control techniques for DSTATCOM with PV for non-linear load compensation are presented in this paper. Two distinct types of controllers are used for this and their mathematical modeling is also presented. The first approach uses a PI-based current controller, and the second employs a hysteresis band current controller. In this paper, in order to address the issues brought on by the existence of non-linear loads at PCC, a voltage source inverter is utilized as an active power filter/DSTATCOM. The DSTATCOM is regulated by the used control methods in a way that forces the source quadrature current component to zero, allowing just the active current component to be pulled from the source. DSTATCOM satisfies the reactive current requirements of the non-linear load. Reactive power compensation and harmonic removal are also discussed in this paper. At last, the performance of PV-DSTATCOM with PI current controller along with balanced nonlinear load and unbalanced nonlinear load at PCC is presented using Typhoon HIL simulator.
