摘要

Industries have historically faced power system challenges such as stability, reliability, energy security, and high costs associated with utility grids. To address these issues, many industries are now adopting renewable energy-based integrated Nanogrid (ING) and microgrid solutions. In this research, we focus on the economic feasibility and analysis of a proposed ING system intended for providing power supply to the impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) method in a sea water desalination plant in India. Our analysis carried out by considering installation of 2 * 500 kW ING system with factors such as load flow, efficiency control mechanisms, feasibility, lifecycle costs, net present value, and simple payback period from a financial perspective. The initial investment of INR 9,20,00,000/- further operational cost and return value on investment also calculated for the proposed ING system to conclude the net payback period of 6 years by using HOMER software. Authors have also carried out sensitive analysis for the same to reconfirm the same. Also concluded that, the overall reduced electricity bill for next 20 to 25 years is possible through this scheme.
