Recent progress in luminescent COFs: structural design, performance improvement and tuning, and optical applications
摘要
Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) have attracted significant interest as an emerging class of crystalline functional materials. The development of luminescent COFs with superior emission performance has long been a core objective for advanced photoluminescence techniques, yet it remains a persistent challenge due to the diverse nonradiative energy dissipation pathways in COFs. This review focuses on luminescent COFs from the perspectives of structural design, performance improvement and tuning, and luminescence mechanisms. In particular, the structural design strategies and dominant factors governing the luminescence efficiency are summarized. Moreover, elucidating the structure–property relationships of luminescent COFs is crucial for broadening their practical applications. Finally, the current challenges and future developments based on luminescent COFs are presented.
