Martin Thrupp and National Standards in New Zealand Primary Schools 2010–2017
摘要
This contribution discusses Martin Thrupp's leadership in opposition to the introduction of National Standards in New Zealand primary schools 2010–2017. Martin's proposal to lead a three year research study on the cultural impact and cultural shift caused by the National Standards policy was welcomed by the National Executive of the early childhood and primary school teachers' professional body and union, the New Zealand Educational Institute Te Riu Roa, and the wider education sector. Martin's legacy for us, today and what it may mean for the future, is also discussed.
