摘要

The conventional sulfate roasting of lepidolite for lithium extraction often suffers from low efficiency and high energy consumption. This study introduces a microwave-enhanced sulfate roasting technique to address these limitations. Under optimized conditions (mass ratio of ore:Na2SO4:K2SO4:CaO = 1:0.5:0.1:0.1, 750 °C, 30 min), a high lithium leaching rate of 91.2% was achieved. Notably, at this lower temperature of 750 °C, the microwave process enhanced the lithium leaching rate by 28.3% compared with conventional roasting, demonstrating significant energy-saving potential. Dielectric property analysis revealed that the sulfate additives improved the microwave absorption capability of the feed. Furthermore, microwave heating resulted in a looser, more porous roasted product, facilitating lithium leaching. This work highlights microwave roasting as a highly efficient and energy-saving alternative for lithium extraction from lepidolite.
