<p>Intending to enrich and develop the finite-time tracking control for fractional-order nonlinear systems, this paper proposes a new lemma related to Lyapunov’s direct method, which corrects some of the existing results. With the help of this lemma, an adaptive finite-time fuzzy controller is developed for a class of fractional-order nonlinear systems with full-state constraints, unknown external disturbance, and control gain by combining the barrier Lyapunov function, backstepping method, and fractional-order command filters. For the unknown control gain functions in the system, we develop an online estimation scheme through an auxiliary parameter adaptive law. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed control scheme are verified through comprehensive numerical simulations.</p>
