<p>This manuscript is intended to initiate a discussion on the application of Jacques Derrida’s concept of hospitality within the context of trans-cultural psychiatric rehabilitation. Drawing from the Latin roots of hospitality, which emphasize care for travelers and the vulnerable, the manuscript highlights the critical importance of creating a welcoming and empathetic environment for patients, particularly in mental healthcare settings. By framing clinicians as hosts and patients as guests, this approach encourages healthcare providers to prioritize understanding the patient’s experience and fostering genuine engagement, especially in trans-cultural settings. Ultimately, embracing the principles of hospitality can lead to a more inclusive and therapeutic healthcare experience.</p>
