Purpose of Review <p>Deficits in communication among healthcare team members have been linked to errors in medical care. Within this review, we discuss recent publications highlighting the utility of trauma video review (TVR) to evaluate and improve communication within the trauma bay.</p> Recent Findings <p>Verbal and non-verbal communication have a measurable impact on outcomes in critically injured trauma patients. The communication evaluation frameworks presented in this review can be incorporated into TVR programs to provide further data on the topic and improve local practices.</p> Summary <p>Communication is an important non-technical skill among trauma team leaders and members. Further research into interventions and curricula for improving communication skills is necessary to improve the care of trauma patients.</p>
