On the analysis of the symmetrized mass-diffusive model for compressible fluids flows
摘要
This paper presents a brief analytical and numerical comparison of the compressible Navier–Stokes model and the alternative mass-diffusive models. New symmetrized mass-diffusive model is introduced and discussed in detail. Both the numerical simulations and analytical findings revealed certain differences between the model solutions, suggesting that the mass-diffusive models can only approximate the Navier–Stokes–Fourier system in certain specific flow scenarios. In cases with high density gradients and non-negligible velocity divergence, the differences tend to be more pronounced.
