Purpose of Review <p>Identify and describe the instruments and parameters used in scientific literature to monitor sleep quality in Paralympic athletes as well as investigate whether the selection or application of these monitoring tools considers the specific characteristics of different types of impairments.</p> Recent Findings <p>Based on a review of current literature: poor sleep quality is highly prevalent; contributing factors are stress, training load, circadian misalignment; training adjustments, load management and tapering are effective; more adapted instruments are needed.</p> Summary <p>Although a variety of instruments are used to monitor sleep in Paralympic athletes, most studies lack methodological adaptations that consider the functional specificities of these athletes. The predominance of cross-sectional studies and types of disabilities reveal limitations in the depth of research. The scarcity of instrument adaptations compromises the validity of the data and highlights the need for more specific protocols for Paralympic athletes.</p>

Recent Findings
