摘要

Trust and belonging are often treated as byproducts of effective teaching rather than as essential foundational elements of a learning environment. Yet without trust as a foundation, psychological safety falters, feedback becomes performative, and equity efforts stall. This paper reframes trust and belonging as essential relational competences that are teachable, observable, and measurable. Educators are positioned as stewards of these practices, shaping spaces where accountability, growth, and inclusion thrive. Grounded in implementation science and participatory leadership, we argue that relational trust and belonging must be recognized as a core competency and as infrastructure for health-promoting learning environments.
